Spanish Faster

Spanish, or Castillian, is the official language nationwide. It is also referred to as espagnol, or castellano. 

There are other official regional languages: the Basques of the north, the Galicians of the northwest, and the Catalans of the extreme northeast all speak their own languages.

Dialects include Andalusian, Murcian, Aragonnese, Navarrese, and Canary Islands Spanish. 

Spanish is classified as a member of the Indo-European linguistic group: it is a romance language. 

Worldwide, Spanish is one of the most commonly spoken languages, with an estimated 350 million speakers.
